Service Above Self
The Model
What is a Family Service Companion Club?
A Companion Club exists alongside your traditional Rotary Club — built for the schedules, energy, and curiosity of modern families. Parents serve. Kids serve. Everyone belongs.
It's the most natural pipeline Rotary has ever had: today's volunteers raising tomorrow's Rotarians.
Built for families
Meeting times, formats, and projects designed so parents and kids can show up together.
A growth engine
Companion Clubs feed your traditional club with engaged, lifelong Rotarians.
Service first
Every gathering centers on a hands-on local project — not a long business meeting.
Easy to start
Use the playbook we built launching real clubs — not theory, lived experience.
"When children watch their parents serve, they don't just learn values — they inherit them."
-- The Hane Family
Meet the Founders
Jessika & Bryan Hane
Jessika and Bryan helped form one of the first Family Service Companion Clubs. They have also helped launch several more clubs and companions clubs across their district. They've learned what works (and what doesn't) by doing the work, club by club, family by family.
Now they share everything they've learned — templates, agendas, project ideas, charter steps — so you don't have to start from scratch
